International Festival of the Arts

The identity for this month-long festival of music, dance, theater, opera and film uses pictures to represent both ideas and letterforms, blurring the boundary between text and illustration and suggesting the vitality and theatricality of the event. The unique alphabet was used as a primary visual element in all the festival's advertising and promotion.
